Very Impressive Wastewater Plant
I just spent several days doing work at the Kenosha Water Utility, a regional wastewater treatment plant located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This is a complex, sophisticated wastewater system that has recently been upgraded. The plant has a primary sludge thickening centrifuge, waste activated sludge thickening centrifuge, PONDUS heat treatment for lysing the microorganisms in the waste activated sludge, a dewatering centrifuge, primary and secondary digesters, and a belt drying system. The dried sludge is a Class A biosolid.
